Privacy policy

Cardzo does not collect your personal data. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for anything. This page explains what that means in practice, and names the one exception on this website.

The app

The Cardzo iPhone app collects nothing at all. There is no sign-up and no account. It makes no network requests, so nothing you enter can leave your phone even in principle — there is no server for it to leave to.

Player names, matches, scores and settings are stored in a database on your device and nowhere else. They are not backed up to us, not synced, and not readable by us. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

The app contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, no attribution or install-tracking software, and no third-party software development kits that phone home. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”, which is the strongest answer Apple’s form allows.

This website

The rules pages and score sheets on cardzo.app are static files. They set no tracking cookies, run no analytics, and embed nothing from advertising networks or social platforms. The score sheet on each game page runs entirely in your browser; what you type into it stays there and is never transmitted.

Like any website, the hosting provider records ordinary server logs when a page is requested — an IP address, a timestamp, the page, and the browser’s user-agent string. These are a standard part of serving and securing a site. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything else.

The one exception: the email form

If you choose to type your email address into the launch sign-up form, we keep that address in order to email you about Cardzo. That is the only personal information this site ever asks for, and it is only ever collected because you deliberately typed it in.

We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone for their own marketing. Ask us at any time and it is deleted.

Children

Cardzo is suitable for all ages and rated 4+. Because it collects no personal information from anybody, it collects none from children either.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to see what personal data an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected, and to have it erased. In Cardzo’s case the answer is almost always that we hold nothing — the only thing we could hold is an email address you gave us, and we will delete it on request.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. Anything that would genuinely alter what is collected would be announced rather than quietly edited in.
