How Cardzo works

One phone, no account

Nothing to sign up for, nothing to sync, and no network at any point. The app is the scorepad, not a client for a service — which is why it works in a garden, on a train, or in a cabin with one bar of signal and no interest in finding a second.

The house rules are the point

Every table plays a little differently, and a notebook cannot recalculate when you decide halfway through to play to 200 instead of 100. Cardzo carries 603 of those settings across the catalogue, and changing one rescores the match already in progress — every round, back to the first. That is the thing a paper sheet cannot do and the reason the app exists.

A number pad built for scores

The iOS keyboard is never used for entering a score. The app has its own pad, sized for a thumb, with the values that particular game actually produces already on it — so a round of Hearts is a tap rather than a typed number and a dismissed keyboard.

Undo, and nothing to lose

Every entry can be taken back, and no total is ever stored — the standings are recomputed from the entries each time. So a mistyped round is one tap to fix rather than an argument about what the total was three hands ago.

The tools, for when the dice go missing

8 of them: a dice roller, a timer, a random picker, a buzzer, a coin, turn order, team split and a card draw. They ship with the app and they work the same way — no network, no setup, and no game required to open one.

In five languages

All 70 games are written out in English, Danish, German, Spanish and French — not machine-translated, written. The app follows whichever language your phone is set to.

Try it in your browser first

Every game page on this site carries a working score sheet — the same scoring engine the app runs, in the browser, with no install. It does not survive a closed tab and it does not remember your players, which is most of what the app adds.
